Custom software development
Software built around the way you work.
Do standard tools handle your work badly? Custom software development fits the system to your process: order tracking with your own rules, a CRM shaped around your sales process, internal systems for production, service or field teams. We map how the work really happens, launch a first working version and extend it step by step.
What we build around your process
Internal tools
Tools for specialised records, assignments and reports, with access set for each role.
Customer portals
A place where customers submit requests, follow progress and download their documents.
Service MVPs
A first version of a new service that tests one complete customer path before the product grows.
For work that off-the-shelf tools don’t cover
Custom software makes sense when your process is what sets the business apart and standard tools force you to work around them.
Spreadsheets that became a system
Orders, stock or projects run on a web of spreadsheets. Formulas break, versions multiply and only one person understands how it all fits together.
Processes that don’t fit a template
Your pricing, production or service rules don’t fit a standard CRM or ERP, and configuring one costs more than it saves.
Clients who need self-service
Customers keep asking for statuses and documents by email. A customer account area would answer most of those questions.
Tools for one team
A warehouse, field team or call centre needs a simple tool for one job, without the extra screens of a large system.
Our own example. The admin panel behind this website is custom software: roles, statuses for requests, SEO checks and a redirect manager. See how it’s built →
How custom software development runs: a first version, then steady improvement
We build the smallest version that does the main job well, put it into real use and extend it from there.
Discovery
We study the workflow, the users and the current tools, and check whether configuring existing software would be enough.
Specification
User roles, main scenarios, the data model and acceptance criteria, written in plain language you can check.
Prototype
Clickable screens for the main scenarios. Users try them before development starts, while changes are still cheap.
Development and testing
Releases in short iterations: you see working features regularly, not only at the end. Integrations and error handling are part of every release.
Launch and support
Deployment, data migration from spreadsheets or old systems, user instructions and a plan for support after launch.
What we measure
Whether tasks get completed in the new tool, how many people use it, how many support requests come in and what changes in the work it was built for.
What we need
from you
A description of the process and the people involved, examples of the spreadsheets or documents you use now and a list of the systems the software has to work with.
We also need a product owner on your side: someone who decides what goes into each release and answers the team’s questions.
Need a customer portal or account area rather than an internal system? See web application development.
Running production or a workshop? See manufacturing workflow software.
We don’t promise to build everything at once: a large system ordered in one piece usually arrives late and misses what users need. And we won’t recommend custom development if an existing tool can do the job.
Custom software or an off-the-shelf system: how to decide
We start every project by trying to talk you out of it. If configuring a ready product solves the problem, that is cheaper for you.
An off-the-shelf tool is usually enough when…
your process is standard for the industry, the tool covers most of it out of the box, and the gaps can be closed with settings, a plug-in or a small integration.
Bespoke business software pays off when…
the process is what makes your business different, the team keeps working around the system in spreadsheets, or per-user licences for a large platform cost more each year than building only what you use.
A hybrid is often the honest answer
Keep accounting and email in standard tools and build only the part that is specific to you, such as order configuration or job scheduling, connected to the rest through APIs.
Custom CRM development
Worth it when your sales cycle has steps a standard CRM can’t model without dozens of custom fields and manual workarounds, for example complex quotes or approvals across departments.
What affects the cost of custom software development
A quote is only as good as the specification behind it. These factors decide the scope.
Roles and permissions
A tool for one team with one role is far simpler than a system where managers, staff, customers and partners each see different data and actions.
Business rules
Pricing formulas, approval chains, stock reservation, deadlines: every rule must be described, built and tested, including the exceptions.
Integrations and data migration
Connections to accounting, CRM or a website, and moving years of records out of spreadsheets or an old system without losing history.
Reports and documents
Generated invoices, contracts or management reports in your formats add work that is easy to underestimate.
Support after launch
Hosting, monitoring, backups and a team that knows the system. We price the first version and ongoing development separately.

Questions before you start
Why not use a ready-made CRM or ERP?
Often that is the right choice, and we will tell you so. Custom development pays off when configuration and workarounds cost more than a tool built around the process.
Which technologies do you use?
Widely used, well-supported web technologies, chosen so that another team could maintain the system later. The exact stack depends on the task and your infrastructure.
Can you take over an existing system?
Yes, after reviewing the code and infrastructure. We will tell you plainly what is better fixed and what is better rewritten.
How is the cost of custom software calculated?
From the specification: roles, business rules, integrations, migration and reports. We usually quote the first working version separately from further development, in EUR.
Do you build mobile apps as well?
Mobile and complex web applications are built by Maxarium, a separate development company. Monetizator covers the business side: processes, integrations and automation.
What happens to our spreadsheets and old data?
We review them during discovery, agree which records move to the new system and how they are cleaned, and run a test migration before launch so the team checks real data, not an empty system.
Who owns the software we pay for?
Ownership of the code and the data is set out in the agreement before work begins. We advise keeping the repository, the servers and the database under your company’s accounts, with documented access for the developers, so another team could take over if it ever needs to.
