Cloud connected to a database and a gear: SaaS development
APPS / MAXARIUM

SaaS application development
SaaS that’s ready for paying customers.

SaaS application development covers products sold to many customer companies on subscription: separate accounts and data, roles, plans, billing and the admin tools you need to run the service. Maxarium, a separate development company, builds the application; Monetizator can add acquisition, onboarding and analytics.

WHAT WE DO

What SaaS development includes

01

Customers and product structure

We agree the main job the service does, who the customer companies are and how each one’s data and settings are kept separate.

02

Accounts, roles and subscriptions

We plan sign-up, the first steps in the product, permissions and plans, and what happens when a subscription is upgraded, paused or cancelled.

03

Core features and integrations

Maxarium builds the main product flows, the admin tools and the integrations, including clear messages when an outside service fails.

04

Launch, monitoring and learning

We agree testing, hosting and support, track the key product events and plan improvements from customer behaviour and support requests.

What you get

  • A description of the product, its customers and the first version.
  • A working service with accounts, roles and the integrations agreed.
  • Operating notes and a plan for measuring and improving the product.
EXAMPLE TASK

What this can look like

A workflow service is used by several customer companies. Each needs its own users, data and permissions, while the operator needs subscription controls and a clear view of usage and support requests.

IS IT A FIT

Who SaaS development is for

A good fit

  • Companies turning an internal tool or a service into a product sold to other businesses.
  • Founders with a validated idea who need a reliable product for several customer companies.
  • Teams that want product development and marketing planned together from the start.

Not the right fit

  • An idea that hasn’t been tested with customers yet: start with an MVP for one customer group.
  • A tool for your own team only: that is custom software, without subscriptions and multi-company setup.
PROCESS

How SaaS application development runs

Each stage ends with something you can check before we continue.

01

Brief and discovery

We agree the customer companies, the main job of the service, the business model and what goes into the first version.

02

Prototype

Clickable screens of sign-up, the main flow and the admin area, tested with a few target customers.

03

Development

Maxarium builds the service in iterations, with accounts, roles and the integrations the first customers need.

04

Launch and support

Launch with monitoring, product analytics and an agreed plan for support, updates and new plans.

BEFORE WE START

What we need from you

A description of the product and the business model, who the first paying customers are, any prototype or internal tool it grows from, and how you plan to charge: per user, per company or by usage.

We also need a product owner who decides on features and pricing, and ideally a few customer companies willing to try the first version and tell you the truth about it.

What we don’t promise

We don’t promise product-market fit or a number of sign-ups: the market decides that. We build the product so you can measure activation, retention and cancellations from the first customers and change direction quickly.

WHAT MAKES SAAS DIFFERENT

Tenants, billing and onboarding: what a SaaS platform needs

A SaaS product is not just a web app with a payment button. These parts decide whether it can serve its tenth and hundredth customer.

Multi-tenant architecture

Each customer company sees only its own data, users and settings. We choose between a shared database with strict separation and separate databases per customer, based on your security needs and expected scale.

Subscriptions and billing

Trials, plan changes mid-month, failed card payments, invoices with VAT. A payment provider such as Stripe or Paddle handles much of it, but the rules in your product still have to be designed.

Onboarding

The path from sign-up to the first useful result, with empty screens that explain what to do next. This is where most trial users are won or lost.

Operator tools

An admin area to see accounts and usage, help a customer with their permission, switch features on per plan and answer support requests without a developer.

COST

What affects the cost of SaaS application development

We quote the first version and the roadmap after it separately, because the second usually depends on what customers do.

01

Tenant model and roles

How data is separated, how many roles exist inside each customer company and who manages them.

02

Billing complexity

One plan per company is simple. Per-seat pricing, usage limits, add-ons and several currencies are not.

03

Integrations

Single sign-on for corporate customers, connections to CRMs or accounting tools, and a public API if customers want to connect their own systems.

04

Security and compliance

GDPR requirements, where data is hosted, audit logs and the questions large customers send before they sign.

05

Scale and reliability

The load you expect in the first year and how much downtime your customers can tolerate.

FAQ

SaaS development: common questions

Can we begin with one customer pilot?

Yes. We build a focused first version and write down what must change before the service supports more companies, more users or more plans.

Are subscriptions and payments always included?

Only if they are part of the project. We check payment providers, their terms and the integration before building, and agree who holds the payment account.

Who builds the SaaS product?

Maxarium, a separate development company that builds apps and games, develops the service, including roles, subscriptions and data separation. Monetizator works with you on the brief and product decisions and, if you need it, on SEO and sign-up analytics.

Can one system serve many client companies?

Yes, that is the core of SaaS: each client company sees only its own data, users and settings. We design this separation, roles and subscriptions before writing code.

How is the cost of a SaaS product calculated?

From the tenant model and roles, billing, integrations, security requirements and expected scale. We quote the first version and further development separately, in EUR.

Do you handle GDPR and data separation?

We design data separation between customer companies, access rights and audit logs from the start, and agree with you where the data is hosted. Your privacy policy and data processing agreement come from your lawyer; we make sure the product does what those documents promise.
