MVP development services
The smallest version that proves your idea.
Our MVP development services let founders and companies test a product idea on real users before paying for the full build. We help choose the one scenario that proves or disproves the idea; Maxarium, a separate development company, builds a working web or mobile version.
What MVP development includes
The idea and the main question
We find out who will use the product and how they solve the problem today, and agree which numbers after launch will show that the idea works.
Prototype
We describe one complete path from sign-up to result and build a clickable prototype. It shows straight away what the first version needs and what can wait.
Working version
Maxarium builds the web or mobile app with the integrations it needs. We check it against acceptance criteria written down in advance.
First users
We run a pilot with real users and look at what they do. Then we decide together: fix, develop further or change direction.
What you get
- A clear product question, the scope of the first version and acceptance criteria.
- A tested prototype and a working MVP.
- A plan for collecting user feedback and a ranked list of next steps.
What this can look like
The owner of a booking service wants to know whether customers will book online. The first version covers only choosing a time and confirming the booking; recommendations and bonuses come later if the main scenario proves itself.
Who MVP development is for
A good fit
- Founders and companies with a new product idea who want real usage data before a large investment.
- Teams that need something working to show investors, partners or first customers.
- Businesses testing a new digital service alongside their existing one.
Not the right fit
- A product that must be complete and fully polished on day one, for example under a contract with a fixed scope: that is a full development project.
- An internal tool for a process you already know well: custom software with a first working version is a better fit.
From an idea to the first users
Each stage ends with something you can check before we continue.
Brief and discovery
We agree the users, the main question the MVP must answer and what success will look like in numbers.
Prototype and user tests
A clickable prototype of the main scenario, shown to a few target users before any code is written.
Development
Maxarium builds the working version with only the features the test needs, and you review progress regularly.
Launch and support
We launch to the first users, collect usage data and feedback and decide on the next version together.
What we need from you
A description of the idea and who it is for, what you know about competitors and how people solve the problem today, any customer interviews or research you have, and the number that will tell you the idea works.
Most of all, someone who can make product decisions quickly. An MVP loses its point if every change waits for a committee.
An MVP doesn’t guarantee that the idea will succeed. It shows whether it does, early and at a lower cost. A negative result is useful too: you learn it before spending on the full product.
Prototype, MVP or full product: what you actually need
Many teams ask for an MVP when a cheaper format would answer their question, and some need more than an MVP from the start.
Clickable prototype
Screens without code. Tests whether people understand the product and the flow. Good for interviews and early investor conversations, but it can’t show whether people will really use it.
Minimum viable product
A working product with one complete scenario, live users and live data. It answers whether people will use the product, come back or pay.
No-code or manual MVP
Sometimes a no-code tool or a simple form with manual work behind it tests the idea faster and cheaper. When that is the case, we say so.
What affects the cost of MVP development services
The cost of an MVP for a startup or a company depends less on the idea than on how strictly the first version is limited.
Length of the main scenario
Booking a slot is one flow. A marketplace with buyers, sellers and payments between them is several flows that all have to work.
Platform
A web version is usually the fastest way to test. A mobile app adds store review and two platforms to check.
Integrations and payments
Each external service, from payments to maps or a CRM, adds setup, testing and failure handling.
Design level
A clean interface based on a ready component kit, or custom brand design. For a test the first is usually enough.
Analytics for the test
Events that show where users drop off. Without them the MVP launches, but you learn little from it.

How an MVP turns into a slow full build
Most MVPs that run late do so for the same reasons, and they are decided before any code is written.
- Features added “while we’re at it”, until the first version tests five ideas at once and none of them clearly.
- No success measure agreed before launch, so every result can be read as a success.
- Building for everyone instead of one user group with one urgent problem.
- Waiting for the perfect moment to launch instead of showing the product to the first users as early as possible.
- Not deciding upfront whether the MVP code will be extended or replaced after the test.
MVP development: common questions
Is an MVP only a clickable mockup?
No. A prototype helps check the screens and flow, while an MVP is a working product people can use. The proposal states exactly which one you get and what it is ready to test.
Can you quote from an early idea?
Yes, but first a short discovery: we clarify the main scenario and the unknowns. After that the development quote is a firm figure, not a guess.
Who builds the MVP?
Maxarium, a separate development company that builds apps and games. Monetizator helps you define the main scenario and what the first release has to prove and, if you need it, sets up marketing and analytics for the launch.
What counts as a finished MVP?
One complete journey a user can go through from start to result, plus a way to measure whether they did. Everything else goes on the list for the next version.
How is the cost of an MVP calculated?
From the length of the main scenario, the platform, integrations, design level and the analytics needed to read the test. After a short discovery we quote cost and timing in EUR.
Will the MVP code be thrown away later?
Not necessarily. Before development we agree whether the MVP is built to be extended or deliberately kept quick to answer one question. Both are valid choices; what matters is deciding upfront.
